One of the Largest Defence Startup Event in Europe, DECOI, is Coming again in November

Collaborating with partner organizations, the Finnish Business Angels Network (FiBAN) and EUDIS Matchmaking are proud to host Northern Europe’s largest Defence pitch event, DECOI, again on the 18th of November during the Slush week, in Helsinki, Finland.

The event is organized together by FiBAN and the EUDIS Matchmaking programme* coordinated by Civitta, supported by Latvian Embassy in Finland, Enterprise Estonia, and Patria. The event is supported by Teollisuuden ja Työnantajain Keskusliiton (TT) -säätiö.

This exclusive event will feature selected startups and scaleups presenting their cutting-edge solutions to a distinguished audience of angel investors, defence VCs, and key representatives from the Military and Deep Tech Industries.

Join us for an insightful exploration of defence and security innovations with key local and international influencers. Defence, Security (DefSec), and dual-use startups will have the chance to pitch their ideas to investors and industry leaders. Additionally, a separate pitching track for scale-ups will be available and coordinated by EUDIS Matchmaking programme.

This event is designed for investors, officers, defence and security organizations, and ecosystem members.

In 2024, the event was fully booked with 200 participants, including top industry professionals, defence angel investors, VCs, top startups, and EU defence-tech players. This year, we expect to host 300 industry professionals, startups, scaleups and investors.

DECOI, one of the largest defence startup events in Europe, is organized as a Slush side event in November. The event is expected to host 300 investors, focusing on defense, dual-use, and security startups and scale-ups pitching. Previous DECOI winners include Dobbelänger, Rebelvolt, and Skycorp.

DECOI – Defence Ecosystem of Innovators is a movement that started in 2023, when FiBAN brought together investors, key organizations, and startups from the defence, dual-use, and security industry. It has been growing every year since the movement was founded in Spring 2024.

The winner of the first FiBAN defence, dual-use, and security event was Dobbelgänger, which raised 920,000 euros as a coinvestment from 16 angel investors, Lifeline Ventures, Innovestor, and other investors.
