Two important skills that every lead angel needs: screening skills and conflict resolution skills. In October, you’ve got the opportunity to develop both of these by joining New Nordic leads training organized by FiBAN and EstBAN. Among two insightful training sessions, we offer a unique possibility to expand your cross-border networks.

New Nordic Leads is a lead angel training and investment program put together by FiBAN and EstBAN, and fueled by Central Baltic Interreg. Together we aim to educate the next generation of lead angels, improve the investment readiness of startups, and inspire cross-border investments. The program was kicked off in a hybrid event in August together with over 40 event participants, and the next parts are right around the corner:

15th October: Screening day
8.30-14.30 (online/hybrid)

Screening – one of the most important steps of a successful syndication process. What are the questions to ask from the founders? The red flags to look out for? Something that can help you to avoid wasting time in conducting due diligence that wouldn’t lead to an investment. In this screening session, you will have the opportunity to learn what experienced angel investors look out for in a perfect pitch deck:

Experienced and international lead angels are joining forces to to screen the deal flow of Arctic15 on the 15th of October. As a program participant of New Nordic Leads, you’re also welcome to join the screening session. A great opportunity to learn more about how to spot the most promising startups!

29th October: Lead Angel training
13:00-15:30 (online/hybrid)

Conflict is an inevitable and conventional part of everyday life – and a key driver behind a successful change. Where there are conflicts present also good conflict management skills are needed. On the 29th of October, you will learn constructive ways on how to resolve conflict to keep your syndicate and startup relationships strong and growing. The training session is prepared by a psychologist.

At the training, you will also hear a keynote speech from a well-known international investor Hampus Jakobsson. Prior to starting climate tech venture fund Pale Blue Dot, Hampus was an angel investor. With over 80 investments worldwide and two companies co-founded, Hampus is a very experienced investor in early-stage startups. Hampus has a Masters’s degree in Computer Science.
