Nordea: Enabling matchmaking between startups & Investors

During the strange year of 2020, Nordea Startup & Growth developed a successful online Investor speed date concept to help their startup and scaleup customers in raising equity from VCs. Now they provide the celebrated concept for angel investors on 16th March, registration is open now.

Nordea Startup & Growth is an active player in the startup ecosystem in Finland having today over 2500 startups and scaleups as their customers and an extensive network of global, European, and Nordic investors in their scope.

“In 2020, we wanted to help more extensively the matchmaking between investors and startups and scaleups. As the world switched to remote due to Covid-19 we made Investor speed date events online. This turned out to be a real success and enabled us to share the deal flow also with our global and European investors.”,  says Vesa Riihimäki, Head of Startups and Growth at Nordea.

The concept is built so that Nordea Startup & Growth handpicks the companies for each event. Attending investors will receive information on companies beforehand to decide who they want to meet in one-to-one discussions. Time-efficiency is granted as there is a chance to meet many companies during the event and have a short meeting to see whether there is a potential for cooperation.

Now, Nordea Startup and Growth wants to provide this opportunity also for FiBAN investor members: Investor speed date for business angels event will be held online on March 16th, 10:00-12.30.
