FiBAN Monthly: What’s cooking for 2022?
February 08, 2022
FiBAN’s Interim Managing Director Aija Bärlund takes a recap on FiBAN’s ongoing strategy and highlights some interesting opportunities and activities coming up this year for our investor members, startups, partners, and the broader ecosystem.
In 2022 we will continue to work with our strategic projects, guiding us towards our vision to be the most attractive angel network and the most wanted partner for the best startups. For our partners, we strive to be trusted, mutually beneficial and professional partner. And for society, we want to be a data-driven acknowledged and engaged expert on angel investing.
For investor members, there are a few special highlights to point out. The first is the opportunity to participate in the third and last batch of New Nordic Leads – the cross-border training program aiming at improving startups’ investment readiness and educating the next generation of lead angels in the Baltics. As an investor member, you can participate in the program by mentoring these selected and most promising startups and at the same time enhance your lead angel skills through lead angel training.
Your contribution is highly needed and appreciated in the Annual Business Angel Survey sent to your email. Your participation is necessary in helping us to gather the most comprehensive business angel data. Please, remember to answer even if you haven’t made any investments in 2021, as this is also valuable data. The results of the Survey, annual FiBAN business angel statistics will be published later this spring.
We continue to support startups and founders on their journey through FiBAN Founders Club. FiBAN Founders Club boosts our members’ portfolio companies’ success with valuable benefits from ten different service providers and more is to come. Moreover, new benefits will be introduced to those startups invited to pitch at FiBAN’s flagship pitching event, FiBAN Pitch Finland.
For partners, the year 2022 will bring new possibilities to provide our members and their portfolio companies with issue-specific know-how, expertise, and cooperation models e.g. through FiBAN Founders Club. In addition, on March 10, the annual Partner Morning will gather our partners to network and form synergies over breakfast at Maria01. Invitation to the event will reach you soon.
For the society, we will continue to provide insights on angel investments in Finland and according to our vision develop the atmosphere to better support early-stage investments, future success stories and job creation in Finland.
See you at our events!
